While you’re at it, keep hair out of the way by not tying, clipping or tucking your hair behind the ears during this period, as these can leave kinks and bends in place. Keeping your hair straight and beautiful will help you to keep the look, and most of all, the Brazilian treatment will last longer.
Again, when it comes time to wash your hair again, you’ll want to use a sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner that’s specifically formulated for keratin-treated tresses. Sulphates and other harsh chemicals can also strip that keratin coat, leaving your hair without a smooth seal. Paul Bondi Hair Salon recommends moisturising and keratin-safe products that will help to add moisture as well as seal with shine. Limit hot styling tools (straighteners or curling irons) since excessive heat can contribute to damaging walls, and apply a heat protectant spray if they are needed.
You will also want to deep-condition your Bhave Keratin hair once a week, and when you do, you’ll have soft, manageable hair in its best form. This will help nourish your strands and keep them as strong and hydrated as possible.
