The student will learn the basic accounting cycle including preparation of useful financial statements. Other topics include accounting for cash, receivables, inventory and payroll.
The student will be given an insight on capital assets, liabilities, partnerships, corporations, cash flow and financial statement analysis.
This course is for you, if you wish to:
- Work as an office assistant/administrator
- Excel at accounting activities
Upon completion of this course, a student is expected to be equipped with knowledge of Canadian Accounting courses in brampton practices and:
1. Use accounting terms related to business situations
2. Have critical and analytical thinking skills
3. Understand and apply accounting principles and concepts to the preparation and interpretation of accounting information to:
Setup and maintain a simple set of Accounting records and prepare and interpret financial statements
· Analyze and prepare cash flow reports
· Calculate revenue and capital expenditures
· Understand basic bonds, insurance, and retirement plans
