When the Shaws began researching the UFO/alien phenomenon, the most common theory for the aliens was that they were traveling here from other solar systems; that they had somehow solved faster-than-light travel. Some thought the aliens are able to travel interdimensionally or perhaps coming from another time.
In the Shaws theory, it’s none of the above. One of the reasons their theory is so much more plausible than all of these others, is that no theoretical physics has to be true. The Shaws theory is just fine with our current physics models.
Essentially, the aliens flying UFOs in our skies are a breakaway branch of the human race, who retreated to underground cities they created to escape the cataclysm that was the Younger Dryas Comet impact of 12,850 years ago.Remember the movie “Deep Impact?” For those who didn’t see it, the world is about to be hit by a killer asteroid that will wipe out mankind. President Morgan Freeman has two plans for our survival, plan “A” is for the Hollywood heroes to fly into space and blow up the asteroid, BUT, plan “B” was to sink a deep underground facility that could save a portion of our brightest and best people. The facility could house 50,000 people and we would take our technology and culture with us. Also other countries around the planet would do the same.
The Shaws think this actually did happen. But it wasn’t an asteroid, it was the Younger Dryas Comet.
The Shaws say that the human race prior to the comet impact was much more advanced than is currently believed by mainstream archaeology, they were perhaps a bit more advanced than we are now. They think we had a space program and may have been responsible for the unexplained structures on the moon and Mars. They had advanced enough astronomy skills to be able to spot the comet coming with enough advanced warning to do something about it.
Then the YDC struck and scraped almost all the evidence of this society off the face of the world. The people safely interred in underground bunkers survived with their technology and culture intact, while the people left on the surface were almost wiped out; the few survivors of which were thrown back into the Stone Age. This is why they are 12,850 years ahead of us.
The devastation of the comet was so terrible, the Earth suffered drastic climatic upheavals that lasted over 1,000 years. The underground people decided to stay in their underground facilities. This event separated the human race into troglodytes and surface dwellers. The people who lived underground began to mutate away from the surface dwellers. The mutations the Shaws observe in the various alien types are mutations you would expect to see in humans living in low-light environments for thousands of years. Some kept their lights on and mutated a small amount, some environments exerted more pressure on the occupants, causing more drastic mutations. But, all the “alien types”are mutated from us, from H. sapien sapiens, this is why they are ALL fully-upright-walking-bipedal hominids.
